1. Selwo Aventura, Estepona
This is one of the region's best nature parks and the largest of its kind in the country.This African style safari park lets the whole family get up close and personal with over 2000 species of animals in more than 100 hectares of semi-natural habitat. Lions, tigers, elephants, rhinos, giraffes and bears are just a few of the many animals living at Selwo and there's no better way to see them all than by taking a tour in one of the park's all-terrain vehicles. There are also restaurants and refreshment areas throughout the park as well as accomodation for anyone who wishes to extend their wild adventure.

2. Lobo Park, near Antequera
This place will have you howling with delight when you encounter many different breeds of wolf all living in a breathtaking environment. Kids will jump at the chance to feed and pet some of the friendlier animals in the petting zoo, home to billy goats, chickens, peacocks, pot belly pigs, ducks and sheep - an eductaion experience as well as a chance to make some new friends! The park offers refreshments and amazing views of the surrounding areas.

3. The Garden of Eagles (Jardin de las Aguilas), Benalmadena
Those who love bird watching will really appreciate this impressive collection of birds of prey set in a stunning zoological garden.
With expert handlers on site, there's no shortage of entertainment as they display all 152 birds throughout the day, one of which is Yaku, a rare condor and well worth watching. You can also find a number of eagles, falcons and vultures flying freely. This truly is an unforgettble experience that the whole family will enjoy.

4. Crocodile Park, Torremolinos
This mini zoo is home to over 300 crocodiles from babies to amazing five meter long adults (don't worry though - they're behind fences!). But not only is this a chance for the family to get a good look at the crocs, you can also learn a great deal about the way they live and breed too, for example - did you know that a female croc can lay between 30 and 50 eggs a year? You can find out much much more on a day out at this educational park.

5. Fuengirola Zoo
Housing a wide range of species from all over the world, Fuengirola Zoo is the ideal family day out. The zoo has been open since the 1970s and has since been redesigned to resemble the rainforests of Madagascar, Africa and Southeast Asia. Here, you can find a number of primates, reptiles, birds, fish and mammals such as rhinos, otters, tigers, lemurs and flying foxes, to name just a few.
