Living in Spain

Rekindle your love for reading

If you live in Spain, you?ll know that it?s not as easy to pop out and buy books as it is in the UK. It?s possible to find the odd second-hand bookshop in large towns such as Fuengirola and Marbella or even a brand new read in chain stores such as El Corte Ingles and Fnac. However if you live in a remote area, you?re even less likely to stumble upon a store which sells books written in the English language.

The good news is, thanks to a new electronic device created by web-based book giants, Amazon, finding and reading the book of your choice will be easier than ever before.

The ?Kindle? is a portable, wireless reading tool (a handheld, computerised book) which is set to revolutionise the way we read.

Its display screen provides a sharp, high resolution image which looks and reads like pages of a real book, it?s simple to use and requires no cables, syncing or computer. Much like a mobile phone, the Kindle runs on wireless connectivity and enables users to shop online at the Kindle store and download titles, both new and old. There are over 30,000 books available including more than 109 of the current 112 current New York Times Best Sellers.

So whether, you?re tucked up in bed, lazing by the pool, on the beach or on a train, the Kindle will allow you to access the literature of your choice, any time, any place. You can even adjust the text size if your eyesight isn?t what it used to be!

The Kindle is currently only available in the US but will soon be available across the globe. We can?t wait to use it here in Spain! For more information, click here.
