Last week, girl power took over the Hotel Lorcrimar in Puerto Banus as ladies of the Costa del Sol celebrated International Women's Day. Friday 6th March began with a champagne breakfast which included an inspiring talk from the Mayoress of Marbella.
Next was a superb buffet lunch and fashion show with models sporting the latest designs available at Elle Morgan's boutique based in Laguna Village, Estepona. Afterwards, lucky guests were awarded some fantastic prizes in the raffle (including Virgin Vie goodies, jewellery and bouquets) which raised money for charities Triple A, CUDECA and the Rhys Daniels Trust.
Throughout the day, some of the local businesses displayed their products and services on stands in the hotel's reception area which was the perfect way to network and mingle with new faces. Clairvoyant, Anna Pearson, was on hand for those who wanted a quick psychic reading and those who fancied treating themselves to new nails did so with manicures from the coast's cuticle expert, Joanna Hooper.
Finally, the day was wrapped up nicely with a four course dinner, served in the evening for guests and their partners. The meal included live entertainment whilst the conversation (and wine) flowed freely!
International Women's Day 2009 event was a huge success and was organised by Samantha Bramley-Fenton, PR and Marketing Executive of Sisu Group.
