Marbella International Film Festival, 1 ? 14 October 2009

Europe?s capital of glitz and glamour is to play host to the 4th edition of the Marbella International Film Festival. The event will provide an opportunity for independent talent to mingle with those who have already made it big in the film industry. With premieres, music, art exhibitions, dance, workshops, lectures and fashion shows, any culture-vulture would be mad to miss this much anticipated festival. Mercedes Benz Launch, Puerto Banus, 21 September 2009

One of the world?s leading car manufacturers is to launch two new models this September. Mercedes Benz will be presenting for the very first time, its new E-Class Coupe and limousine models on Avenida de Naciones Unidas in Puerto Banus.
Tourism Councillor, Jose Luis Hernandez, said that this is the first time the company will launch one of its new models outside of Germany and added ?What is most encouraging is that Marbella is no longer only chosen by companies such as these when launching their new products but perhaps more importantly, that it is the location of choice of the agencies that manage such events?.??


Art Exhibition - works by Mat?as S?nchez, until 15 November 2009

Malaga?s Centro de Arte Contempor?neo (CAC), Calle Alemania, is currently showing an individual exhibition of works by artist Mat?as S?nchez. The collection, 'Elegidos para la gloria' (Chosen for glory), features four large scale works as well as a variety of smaller paintings and uses a unique fusion of Mediterranean irony and expressionist brushstrokes, focusing more on the painting rather than the subject matter. Status Quo, Gibraltar, 10th September

Status Quo, who are famous for hits such as Rockin? All Over The World, Down Down and Whatever You Want?will play live?at Gibraltar's Ocean Village at 7pm on 10th September to help celebrate?Gibraltar's annual National Day.

The band will be performing both old and new hits and are to be supported by local band, Natura. Tickets are available from O?Reilly?s, Lord Nelson, Music Corner, Veejay?s in Gibraltar and Disco?s Grammy in Algeciras and prices range from 35 and 80 Euros.
