According to Nick Stuart, Managing Director of Spanish Hot Properties, property sales are picking up on the Costa del Sol, particularly in the Los Naranjos development between Puerto Banus and Marbella.

?All the bargain properties at Los Naranjos have been snapped up and the cheapest available price is now as much as 20 per cent more than it was a few weeks ago. If that doesn?t tell you that Marbella?s property market is recovering, I don?t know what will? explains Nick.

?The bottom line now, even though we still have excellent properties heavily discounted, our best priced property on the development is now listed at ?225,000 whereas previously we had properties at ?179,000. Obviously you?re not comparing like with like but you get the basic point. All those people who took the plunge and bought at these great prices can now rightly feel very proud of themselves and know they got a great deal.?

Estate agents up and down the coast are hopeful that the area?s property market will begin to see some improvement over the coming weeks.
